Let’s talk trash

Students learn more about marine debris by discussing the topic and predict which marine debris items will float or sink, which is tested in a big tub. In the role playing game a community has to explain how they impact the marine debris and come up with possible solutions. Examples of roles are a factory owner, a beach goer and a waste disposal company. The activity can be found on page 6 of the Educator's Guide. A Powerpoint presentation is also available.
