Create your own Marine Protected Area

Students think about why parts of the ocean are protected. They create their own MPA on an imaginary coastline in small groups, taking into account the different users and uses of the ocean. Afterwards the different MPA's are discussed. (The original activity is carried out with the whole class). The activity can be found on the website as part 3, 4 and 5. It is highly recommended students do the activity 'Who uses the ocean?' before they start this activity.
