Reef Grazers Community Poster

Description:

Extreme algae growth on the reef was successfully reduced by prohibiting the catch of Surgeon fishes. A study was made to identify which algae grazing fish ate the specific problem algae, and the results discussed with the local fishing community. Posters were placed in key locations to inform all fisherfolk in the area.
